Dr. Anita Holt

I joined Heron Creek Animal Hospital in 2012 and am the Integrative Veterinarian of the group.  That means that I offer my patients and their pet parents both conventional and alternative therapies.  Very often this approach results in the patient living better and longer.    I have been practicing veterinary medicine for 28 years.  I did my veterinary school training at the University of Pennsylvania and after graduation came to this area.   Eighteen years ago I trained in Acupuncture and  Chinese herbal medicine at the Chi Institute in Reddick, Florida.  By combining Western medical practices and Acupuncture with herbal supplements my patients do better.   I am often called on to help in situations where nothing in Western medicine will work.  It gives me great joy to help pets and their people and I am grateful to have the opportunity to do so.
When not practicing veterinary medicine I enjoy hanging out with my cats Frito and Paulie, my dog Sancha, and my boyfriend Kent.  I also love spending time with friends and family and traveling to new places.

held leadership positions in 4 organizations, and completed study abroad courses in Great Britain and
Costa Rica. She has been practicing for 5 years, and her main interests are dermatology, surgery and
dentistry. In her free time, she enjoys rock climbing, kayaking, camping and horseback riding. Janet
lives in Cape Coral with her husband, Zeke, and her two older dogs, Samson and Bella.
Practice Manager
Hello, my name is Christina. I joined the Heron Creek Animal Hospital team in 2016, but have known and worked with Dr. Cindy for a long time. I started as a receptionist in 2003 and apprenticed to technician and management. If I am not here at the hospital, you can find me spending time with my children, Lexi and Nick, and our fur babies Kate and Snowflake. I am always happy to help you and look forward to seeing you at the clinic.
Pharmacy Technician
Hi, My name is Laura and I am a pharmacy technician here at Heron Creek Animal Hospital.  I have worked at the hospital since 2007 and love interacting with all of our clients and patients.  I attended University of South Florida and received a bachelor’s degree in criminology. I realized that was not the right field for me and left to pursue a career in the veterinary field, it was the best decision I ever made.
Hi there! I am currently attending St.Petersburg College Veterinary Medicine program to become a certified veterinary technician, and I am excited to be graduating May 2020. Look forward to meeting you!
Greetings!  I have been in veterinary medicine since 1992 starting from the ground up.  I have been a certified technician for over 10 years and I have been with Heron Creek Animal Hospital since 2008. I am also Level 3 Fear Free Certified. Vet Tech
Hi! I’m Michelle. I’m a veterinarian technician here at Heron Creek Animal Hospital. I am a Florida native who was born and raised in Miami. I love to travel as a try to as often as possible. I have to say my favorite place I’ve been to so far is Antigua! I have always loved working with animals as I have done so since a young age. From 2015 to the time I’ve started working here I was a stay at home mom caring for my daughter Julia. I must say, I couldn’t be happier to get back in the work field but am even happier to here at Heron Creek!
